Namaste Kathmandu is 501(c)3 organization based out of Portland, OR that directly funds the development of Paurakhi Guan, a newborn village birthed from a makeshift settlement of refugees along the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal. At its root, our mission is to bring into practice the notion of access to education as basic human right. A child gone uneducated in the heart of Kathmandu is a life lost in the dark cycle of poverty and ignorance. Our mission is to do what it takes to bring education to children in underserved areas of the world, be it Kathmandu, Nepal, or suburbs of Seattle, United States.
We are looking for people who are skilled in literature review, research, report writing, and grant writing skills. We intend to apply for some major grants in the next few months. Experience with Excel and PowerPoint is recommended. If you are interested in volunteering for us, please contact Xeno Acharya: info [at] namastekathmandu [dot] org or xenoach [at] gmail [dot] com. You can read more at the organization’s blog.
